For instance, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"opioid use disorder (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/books\/NBK458661\/\" target=\"_blank\">opioid use disorder<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"alcohol use disorder (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jamapsychiatry\/article-abstract\/2647075\" target=\"_blank\">alcohol use disorder<\/a> have been on the rise in recent decades, contributing significantly to the burden of disease in this country. However, many people do not even realize that they have an illness. These <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"11 criteria (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/atashajordan.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSM-5-Diagnostic-Criteria-for-Substance-Use-Disorder.png\" target=\"_blank\">11 criteria<\/a> are used to aid in the diagnosis of persons with disordered substance use.
